Jeffrey Specialty Equipment Corporation and Rader Companies Centralize Operations, Unveil New Corporate Name and Company Logo

Woodruff, SC (October 8, 2008) – In furtherance of the strategy underlying the September 2007 acquisition of Rader Companies, Inc. by Jeffrey Specialty Equipment Corporation, the two companies will merge on or about January 1, 2009. The new entity will be known as Jeffrey Rader Corporation.

Both Jeffrey and Rader are well known manufacturers serving the pulp and paper, forest products, building materials, coal mining, and energy generation industries. Together, they provide a broad range of equipment and complete systems for these industries as well as for the emerging bio-energy industry. The combined company will benefit from improved operational efficiencies in such areas as manufacturing processes, management and sales.

“Our goal with the new name and logo is to retain the identity of both organizations”, said Doug Sublett, US Sales and Marketing Manager. “We want an identity that represents our new and stronger company and yet is still recognized by our many Jeffrey and Rader customers. We believe we have captured all of this in our new logo”.

Jeffrey Specialty’s facility in Woodruff, South Carolina will be the headquarters for the newly combined company. The 135,000 square foot facility will house a majority of manufacturing, procurement, sales, engineering, research and development for the organization. Rader’s management and engineering staff have completed their relocation to the South Carolina facility and have closed the Alpharetta, Georgia office. The current management teams of Jeffrey and Rader have been integrated as part of the process.

Rader’s offices in Vancouver and Montreal, Canada and Stockholm, Sweden will continue to operate in those locations. They will be renamed to carry the Jeffrey Rader name and logo.

Commenting on the changes, Don Melchiorre, Senior Vice President of the Size Reduction Group of K-Tron International, Inc. (NASDAQ-GS: KTII), said: “Since the acquisition of Rader in September 2007, we have been committed to the integration of our Jeffrey and Rader businesses. It’s a perfect opportunity to use the combined resources of both companies to further solidify our commitment to the domestic and international marketplace which they serve.”

“Additionally,” said Melchiorre, “this consolidation will benefit existing customers by maintaining a highly experienced management team and experts from both companies with extensive industry knowledge in a multitude of industries and offers a stronger platform for future innovations and manufacturing capabilities.”

For more than 100 years, the Jeffrey name has been synonymous with exceptional performance, quality, and excellence in the pulp and paper and other industries. With the addition of Rader’s experience and established product lines, the combined company will offer industrial equipment in even more product categories.

Jeffrey Rader Corporation is a subsidiary of K-Tron International, Inc.
