Jeffrey Rader Corporation announces supply agreement with Peabody Energy for Bear Run project, set to be largest mine in Eastern United States

Woodruff, South Carolina (June 24, 2009) – Jeffrey Rader Corporation announced today that they have been chosen as  the Electromechanical Vibratory Feeder supplier for Peabody Energy’s Bear Run Mine in Sullivan County, Indiana.

Peabody Energy’s Bear Run Mine will produce up to 8 million tons of coal a year and will begin operating in the second half of the 2009, with coal output for 2010 expected at 2 million to 3 million tons. Bear Run will be the largest surface coal mine in the Eastern United States and will initially supply two major Midwestern Electricity Generators.

Jeffrey Rader Corporation will provide seventeen Electromechanical Vibrating Feeders. The feeders will use Jeffrey Rader’s exclusive design and will be equipped with special liners, explosion proof inverter duty motors and production capacities ranging between 1,000 – 2,000 tons per hour.

“Having Jeffrey Rader Corporation chosen as the feeder supplier to a project of this magnitude is indicative of our reputation of high quality, reliable equipment and our customer service”, says Doug Sublett, Sales & Marketing Manager for Jeffrey Rader.

Jeffrey Rader worked closely with those involved with the project to insure the feeders were designed with flexibility to allow for changes as production requirements change without any impact to feeder performance.

“We are confident that Peabody will be happy with the units and they will provide the production and performance required”, says Sublett.
