CC200 Chip Classifier for the Pulp & Paper Industry

Chip thickness classification is an important process in reducing cost in paper mills.

The CC2000 allows mills to classify chips on a user defined thickness. All controls and functions are monitored by computer. Software is compatible with Microsoft Windows™

Features and Benefits

  • Unique Bar Configuration in a rotating drum.
  • Approximates the individual micrometer measurement of each chip. (Patented)
  • Chip thickness sizing from 2mm to 23mm can be selected by the operator.
  • Superior sample repeatability and accurate chip fraction separation.
  • While other classifiers can only sample ¼ cubic foot of chips, the CC2000 can sample up to 1 cubic foot.
  • Larger samples are more accurately processed in less time.
  • Automated chip classification allows total variability of chip thickness size selection.
  • CC 2000 gives instantaneous data with documentation for each classification.
  • Sample Test Results are easily saved and retrieved for chip quality comparison.
  • CC 2000 is not labor intensive
  • Classification settings can be  modified by the computer instead of replacing hardware.
  • User has ability to customize format of data output.
  • All functions are controlled and monitored by the computer.

Applications

  • Used in the mill to classify chip thickness.
  • Used to measure quality (according to size) of chips that are being purchased by the mill, or chipped in-house.

Specifications

  • Weight –2200 lbs
  • Height –59  inches
  • Width –30 inches
  • Depth –53 inches
  • Electrical requirements –120 volts/ 60 Hz/ 20 amps
  • Capacity –1 cubic ft (≈20 lbs)

Mobility

  • The CC2000 can also be placed into a mobile unit.
  • These units are completely self-contained with onboard power generators
  • Can be taken from woodyard to woodyard for surveying of chips.
  • Can also be taken to satellite chip sites.
