Placed in the bottom of bins or large rectangular reclaiming areas, it has a hydraulic cylinder that pushes a ladder. This ladder on the forward stroke pushes the material forward. Then the ladder retracts through the material, but because the back of the ladder is smooth the material stays in place until it pushes forward again.
